Ok, I haven't written anything in months, so here's a bit of update.

First of all, a lot of people have been asking about that request thing and why the list isn't up anymore. Well, the whole idea of it was that I get money when people visit my site and click ads and then I'd use that money to buy the most requested games so that more people come here to watch my videos and click more ads while they're at it and I can do more games.
Unfortunately Google closed my AdSense account and due to their policy of not revealing their methods of tracking the accounts I have NO idea why my account was closed and no chance to ask Google to put it back up. One day I just couldn't log in anymore and when I checked my e-mail I had received a message from Google telling me my website was a hazard for advertisers and they're not telling me why.
Long story short: no ads, no money, no requests.

About the recently uploaded walkthroughs, there's a lot of new ones since the last update. Splinter Cell series from Pandora Tomorrow onwards on the PS2 and I did Maui Mallard for Sega Genesis at one point, too. The newest game I have just started recording is my newest PS2 game, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick. This walkthrough will be in widescreen, but it looks horrible. There's nothing wrong with the rendering settings, YouTube's widescreen possibility just doesn't really work for people who have more than a few videos and not enough resources. When I embed them on my website I'll keep the framesize smaller so that it looks sharper, so there's a good reason to watch them here instead of YouTube. I'm also fighting to get the brightness right again, so I don't know yet how dark the first videos are going to be.

Big news that I'm proud of:
I won the first video walkthrough competition held on StumpedGamer.com. It's the first competition of walkthroughs I've heard of, and I won, with my No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In H.A.R.M.'s Way walkthrough.

And lastly but not as leastly, something sad for my fans and I, something happy for those who have always wanted to get rid of me: only thirtysomething days and I'm gone. If you want me to do your favourite games before I leave, be sure to ask me now so that I can reject your requests and call you a faggot.
Oh, and while I'm gone, could someone please be a dear and inform the new fans about my absence once they start crying on my profile about me being very rude for not answering their important questions concerning the "wassup".
I'll be sure to remind everybody about who won the 2008 walkthrough competition on StumpedGamer.com once I'm back, so keep an eye out for a bloated ego in the Force. That's when I have returned to hold you in my arms, love.

P.S. Sorry about the typos and whatnot, I can't write English when I'm tired.
It's certainly been busy days and late nights in the past few weeks.

October 6th, 2008

- GTA: Vice City for PS2 is up
- MK: Deception for PS2 is up
- Spider-Man for PS, the first requested game, has been bought, recorded and uploaded
- Pocahontas for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive is up
- LEGO Star Wars is soon to be up in full

There's also been some progress with my The Punisher walkthrough. I have started a new profile and bought the upgrade "Kill Recovery", which I believe I will need for the second-to-last level, Takagi Building. So as soon as I've finished Grand Nixon Island and Fisk Industries on the new profile, my walkthrough will be continued from there. This change to a new profile shouldn't matter, as I haven't shown what upgrades I've gotten and it's not my job to choose for everybody. I just personally found it annoying to play the final levels with basically no way of regaining health, as the enemies come in waves and there's never a moment when you could just grab and interrogate someone. I'm playing on Hard difficulty, and I can tell you that it really does become hard to stay alive from Grand Nixon Island onwards.

About my upcoming videos, first I will finish uploading LEGO Star Wars. After that I'll probably upload the 7 GTA San Andreas videos so I can take it down from my profile. I will not continue recording GTA SA anytime soon, as first I'll try to get rid of the older unfinished walkthroughs, Fur Fighters, MGS 3 and the Punisher. After GTA SA I'll upload what Punisher videos I have done (hopefully I've completed the walkthrough) and move on to uploading Fur Fighters, UNLESS I record some other, shorter game before I get to Fur Fighters.

You might soon notice that I upload less and less videos a day. This has nothing to do with my real-life obligations. I have just been able to upload more videos in a day lately (did YT upgrade their upload speeds?) and I've uploaded way more videos that I've produced. Since I can't upload what I don't have, the videos will be uploaded at the same pace as they are edited.
This should be good news to those who always cry that they don't have time to watch all my videos when I upload them, although if you don't happen to be one those idiots who always have to be the first to comment, there's really no reason why you couldn't save some videos for later. I'm not going to be uploading walkthroughs forever you know, even though I'll try to as long as I can. There's also going to be a VERY looooooooong break soon when I'm just simply unable to even open a computer, let alone record and upload anything. And no, again it's nothing like school or work that would drain my time, I'm actually UNABLE to log on to YouTube for reasons beyond me. So save something for later or you're going to be looking for a new walkerthrough to worship.

Alright, something new from the video front:
- GTA Vice City Stories is up.
- The Punisher walkthrough recorded and edited up to Fisk Industries level. Horribly difficult game on Hard, so I'll take a break from it until I figure a way to save up 290 000 style points before starting the Takagi Building level...
- LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game for PS2 recorded and edited completely.
- GTA San Andreas walkthrough started, 7 videos done and taking a break. For a private contractor I take a lot of breaks...

It's official. As soon as I'm able to, I'll start buying the most requested games. You should already know how it works, but I'll repeat it anyway.

You make a request, for example 'The Force Unleashed' for PS3. If other people have requested the same game, it goes up in my request list. When the time comes, if 'Force Unleashed' is on the top of the list, I'll buy it and record it. I don't participate in the picking of the game in any way, I do not vote. It's all about you.

Of course, nobody wants to turn a hobby like walkingthrough into work, so to balance this I demand that I have time to record my own choice also. This means that there's usually 2 walkthroughs coming at once, The Viewers Choice and Johnny's Choice. You have no say in Johnny's Choice, although it's always possible my pick is another highly requested game.

There's also some rules to this to make sure I don't end up in a pickle.

1. If I can't get the game, it's not happening and you just have to deal with it.
I don't have any income, so in order to fund my gaming I have to make cuts in food department and general living. I chew the covers of my games to keep my stomach half full and electricity I get from batteries I steal from the neighbours' cars.
Also, I live in such a place that not every game finds its way here on the release date. If it's not in stores, I can't buy it. In these cases the request could possibly be postponed until the game is available. In the meantime I'd of course do another request.
There's also the possibility that the company behind the game wants to sell their own guides first, in which case my YouTube account could be deleted for uploading walkthroughs. That's why it's possible that I just have to say NO and do something else.

2. If the game is impossible, I might not finish it. I've done amazing things in the past, like killing Jigo and beating Kelley with Excellent, but in those cases it was my own choice. Now this is becoming more like work, and I don't want that.

3. If I get a free game in mail, it's my top priority to make a walkthrough of it. Of course, in order to send me games you'd have to guess my home address, and that can be pretty difficult since most people don't even know the continent I live on. I wish you the best of luck!

Time for the news, and as usual let's start with the videos:
- NOLF 2 and Mickey Mania have been uploaded in full.
- GTA VCS still going strong. GTA San Andreas in the making.
- Some progress with the Punisher.
Great. That's that about that.

I recently decided to think up something big that would get me more real fans. One thing I came up with was a contest, and the winner could freely choose the next walkthrough. But I scrapped that, because... I can't remember exactly why, but I did. I had 2 different types of competitions in mind and I MIGHT make those come true some beautiful day in the distant future.
BUT, after that I had an even better idea: I'll start doing 2 walkthroughs at the same time! No, not the same way I'm doing it now. I'm talking about making one walkthrough that I choose without anybody having anything to say about that and the other game being YOUR choice.
It would work like this: people send me requests for games (on my forums, through e-mail, with a message on YT...whatever way you can find) and I'll buy the game that gets the most votes along with my own choice, and then do both. This would mean that people could really force me to do their favourite game and not just whine and cry for nothing.

Only rules I have are:

  1. If I can't find the game in my local stores (I'll check a few, don't worry) I will not bother looking for it fom the other end of the world, and I DO NOT shop online. If it's not there, I'll pick up the game that came second, third, fourth... and so on until I actully find a game.

  2. I reserve the right to stop the walkthrough if the game feels impossible to finish, although I'll still try my best for a reasonable amount of time. It stops being reasonable somewhere between 'weeping in the corner' and 'mass-murdering rage'. So it's like Saturday.

Games that I think are impossible to beat are both horribly boring AND difficult.
A difficult but good game? No problem. A boring, easy game? Fine with me.
A game that forces me to play through the same level for the 50th fucking time when I never even wanted to touch the case in the first place? Shove it down your throat and die!!

  3. If I can't afford it, it's not going to happen.
That's about it. Don't know for sure if I'm really able to do that yet, but you're free to send me requests anyway. If I really do all that what I just said, I'll count your votes. If my big plan is scrapped, I'll forget I ever even heard about you. And who knows, maybe your request gets stuck in my head and I buy it out of interest...

September 13th 2008

Just to keep you posted:
The Warriors walkthrough is now up in full. I'm very sad that YouTube darkens the videos so much that my carefully chosen brightness setting was wrong. Well, anyway, if you turn the brightness up on your end you can view all the 105 videos in High Quality.

No One Lives Forever 2 is coming up at a decent pace, only 15 more videos to upload before the end.

Because The Warriors is up, the next game I'm uploading is Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories for PlayStation 2, and 2 videos are already up and viewable (with a 3rd one being uploaded as I'm writing this). So from now on there's a few GTA VCS missions coming up between every NOLF 2 chapter.

Today I started recording The Punisher for PS2. Because I have trouble choosing the right level of brightness, and because my Warriors walkthrough failed in that category, I'll be uploading the first 3 videos (intro and level 1) tonight so that this time there wouldn't be any nasty surprises. I can still re-edit the videos if they look like crap.
The Punisher will officially be uploaded after my Mickey Mania! walkthrough, so even though these days I upload 2 games at once (definite maximum is 3), Frank will have to wait until both Cate Archer and Mickey are done with their adventures. It's still possible and very likely that I'll be uploading it alongside GTA VCS at some point.

Because I have more than one walkthrough in the making, I decided to make a page where people can check the progress on games I'm doing.
The link is located on the left side menu.

Lastly, as my website has grown a lot lately I will have to start affiliating with other sites now. Affiliates can increase the traffic on a webpage a lot, so if you have a cool website and also wish more people would see it, check the Affiliates link on the menu and see if you have a chance to get your site mentioned on the walkingthrough community's foxiest page.
Oh, and nevermind about the visitor counter. It started from scratch yesterday and it doesn't count me or any hits coming from the same IP in 30 minutes or less. In reality, my website is the hottest thing since buttered toast.

September 9th 2008

If you have been paying attention you have noticed that the website moved to johnnydfox.stumpedgamer.com. Because this is a bit better than that damn freewebs I always defended against haters to get broken pages as a thanks, I can start dissin' people who use free webservices. Woo.
Well, actually I don't pay anything for this either...

Well, other updates include, but are not limited to:
- Nolf 2 walkthrough has moved on to chapter 8
- The Warriors walkthrough has moved on to chapter 14
- Peeping out the videos here is possible on all pages now

I also started a Pong walkthrough.
I only have a crappy 2 player knock-off of the game, but the result was phenomenal anyway.

Here's the Pong walkthrough's level 1:
